Attractions in Phoenix

Photo Essay: Attractions in Phoenix

My family and I just spent a wonderful week checking out a few key attractions in Phoenix Arizona. In July. It was 108F degrees just about the entire week.

And you know what? It didn’t suck.

For all the talk and complaining about the weather in Arizona in July, it was actually lovely. There’s something just magical about the desert, especially for a Midwestern born and raised girl like me.

The quiet desert under the mid-day sun comes to life in the early evening. Hawks soar overhead. The sun turns they sky pink and reflects off the red rocky hills. And the saguaro catus tower over everything.

The desert is certainly one of my favorite attractions in Phoenix.

And even in the heat of the summer, my family had an amazing time here. Just be sure you’re staying somewhere with a fantastic pool and I’m sure your family will be happy.

Here are a few photos that may change your mind about avoiding travel to Arizona in the summer. Check out the pools, the hotels, the desert sunsets and the beauty of desert plants to see why we loved Arizona this summer. (And pssst! There are some amazing deals to be had. Check out mid-week rates at the luxe Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale at Troon North in July from only $139 per night! Just sayin’!)
